Starting from the 30th of March 2014 passengers travelling between New York and London will be able to enjoy a new improved schedule from Delta and Virgin, designed with business travelers’ needs in mind.
The schedule will consist of a total of 32 daily nonstop flights between North America and the UK, with 24 flights between Heathrow and the US, including such popular destinations as Los Angeles, San Francisco, Atlanta and Washington.
Flights from the new schedule will be available to book starting from the 5th of October 2013.
Air France showcased its new Economy and Premium Economy cabin products, which are set to be implemented onto the airline’s 44 long-haul Boeing 777s from summer 2014.
The new improved Economy class seat will feature:
– more legroom
– a new seat cushion
– improved headrests
– a wider tray table
– an electronic socket and headphones holder
The Premium Economy cabin will also be redesigned to include more comfortable seat cushions and a multi-position footrest for additional comfort.
Future passengers will also be able to enjoy a revamped in-flight entertainment system with new wide high definition touch screens and a broader selection of material, as well as a greater variety of meals available in Premium Economy.
Launched on the 2nd of October 2013, the new Etihad route was the first-ever nonstop commercial passenger service to connect Abu Dhabi and Ho Chi Minh City.
The new daily service is operated by an A330-200 with a two-class configuration, providing 22 Business Class and 240 Economy Class seats, and is expected to add approximately 3,700 seats per week to the route.
The service is set to help Etihad improve traffic to the UAE and Gulf Cooperation Council, as well as increase the airline’s presence in business and leisure travel from Vietnam to Europe.
The new Crowne Plaza London – Albert Embankment is planned to open in spring 2015 and will consist of 130 rooms and a restaurant overlooking the Thames.
The Crowne Plaza currently has nearly 400 hotels in the brand’s global portfolio with 97 more properties scheduled to open in the next five years.
Passengers travelling from the UK to North America will be pleased to know that this October they can earn double Blue Credit points if they choose to fly with Air France, KLM, Alitalia or Delta.
