Starting from February 2015, customers staying at all Hyatt-branded properties across the world will have an opportunity to take advantage of a new free wi-fi service. Guests will be able to use internet data on an unlimited amount of devices. In addition, Hyatt will also offer a free upgrade to a premium wi-fi service to its Hyatt Gold, Passport, Diamond and Platinum loyalty members.
Starting from 29 March 2015, passengers travelling between Istanbul and Birmingham will have an opportunity to take advantage of more weekly services operated by Turkish Airlines. With the start of the summer season the airline will be adding two extra weekly services to the route, benefiting both leisure and business travellers.
Starting from 01 August 2015, passengers travelling from Birmingham International Airport will be able to take advantage of a third daily service to Dubai operated by Emirates. The launch of the new daily flight will make the airline the first to offer a direct First Class service between the cities.
The service will depart from Dubai at 02:35 arriving in Birmingham at 07:05, with the return flight departing Birmingham Airport at 09:10 and arriving to Dubai at 19:10.
Hilton HHonors programme members can now check-in, check-out and choose their room via their smartphones thanks to the launch of Hilton Worldwide’s digital check-in service at over 4,100 properties.
Not only does the feature save customers time, but it also allows guests to add special requests and room upgrades “on the go”. Introduced earlier in July, the new service is to become available across the majority of rooms at Hilton Worldwide properties by the end of 2016.
Etihad will be adding more flights to one of the strongest routes in its network, increasing the service between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne to double daily. The extra flights will launched on 01 August 2015 and will be serviced by the airline’s B777-300ER providing 280 Economy, 40 Business and 8 First Class seats.
Qantas customers can now take advantage of the facilities of the airline’s newly-opened first class lounge at Los Angeles International Airport. Designed by Marc Newson and being three times larger in comparison to the previous facility the new Qantas First Lounge offers enough space for more than 200 people. The new lounge not only offers guests personalised service, but also an opportunity to take advantage of wifi, wireless printing and cable television and such facilities as a 74-seat restaurant and bar, two private work suites and seven showers with Aurora Spa ASPAR products.

Starting from 25 May 2015 Turkish Airlines will be increasing the number of flights between Istanbul and Manchester to three-times daily. Initially the airline will be adding 4 weekly flights to the current two-times daily service before increasing frequencies by another three weekly services from 22 June 2015. With Manchester Airport being one of the largest in the UK, increasing the service is set to significantly benefit both business and leisure travellers flying to Istanbul during the busy summer season.
Starting from 01 May 2015 Emirates will be increasing capacity on its Dubai – Perth route with the launch of A380 aircraft on the service. The A380 will be replacing one of the B777-300ER aircraft, allowing the passengers to take advantage 136 additional seats per flight. With 14 First Class suites, 76 fully-flat Business Class and 401 Economy Class seats, the introduction of the A380 will be beneficial for both business and leisure travellers.
With Norwegian to expand its selection of services from Birmingham, passengers will soon be able to take advantage of new routes from Birmingham to Madrid, Barcelona and Malaga.
Serviced by the airline’s B737-800 aircraft, flights from Birmingham to Madrid and Malaga will be available three times a week, while the Birmingham – Barcelona route will operate two times a week.
The first to launch will be the route to Malaga due to commence on 30 March 2015, followed by the Madrid service on 31 March 2015 and the Barcelona service on 01 June 2015.
