With Lufthansa introducing a B747-8 on its daily service to Newark on 23 February 2015, customers travelling between Frankfurt and New York can now take advantage of the airline’s new Premium Economy Class.
Benefits of travelling with Premium Economy include two-times more baggage allowance in comparison to Economy Class, new seats as well as such thoughtful touches as welcome drinks, amenity kits and more.
The launch of the B747-8 on the New York route was initially scheduled for 29 March 2015. Between 28 March 2015 and 08 April 2015 the aircraft will not serve the New York route due to operating flights between Frankfurt and Houston.
Melia Hotels International is to increase its global ME brand property portfolio with the launch of ME Barcelona scheduled for 2017. Set on the site of the former Hotel Barcelona, the new property will feature 173 rooms located in a 15-storey building, designed and constructed by OUA. Once open ME Barcelona will be joining ME properties in Madrid, Miami, Milan and Dubai due to launch in 2015 and 2016.
Starting from 27 May 2015 BA will be introducing new methods of earning and redeeming Avios to its “On Business” programme members. As part of the changes earning points will be based on the amount spent on tickets instead of depending on the distance travelled. The airline announced it will be closing the current programme on 24 May 2015 at 23:59 with all points balances to be doubled during the transfer.

Flights are due to launch on 02 March 2015 and are set to provide convenient options for business travellers.
Brussels Airlines passengers will soon have an opportunity to take advantage of direct flights to Washington, as the airline announces it will be relaunching the service on 29 March 2015.
The new flights between Washington and Brussels will operate five times a week as part of the airline’s new schedule.

Good news for passengers travelling to South Africa, as Qatar Airways sets out to launch a new service to Durban and increase frequencies on Johannesburg and Cape Town routes.
Starting from 01 October 2015 passengers will be able to take advantage of a daily service between Doha and Cape Town as the airline increases the current five times weekly service.
As for the new service between Doha and Durban, flights will commence on 17 December 2015 and will operate four times a week flying via Johannesburg. On the same day the airline will also be increasing frequencies between Doha and Cape Town to double daily.
Guests travelling to China’s Shaanxi Province, can now enjoy a stay at the new Regal Airport Hotel Xian, conveniently connected to Xian Xianyang International airport.
The 297-room property provides guests access to the airport through a covered “link bridge”. It is Regal Hotels second airport property and offers a broad selection of facilities, including six restaurants, three ballrooms, 20 meeting rooms, Executive Club lounges, a spa, a fitness centre and an indoor swimming pool.

KLM passengers travelling to Bahrain, Cairo and Xiamen will be the first to experience flying on the airline’s Dreamliner aircraft, as the B777-200ERs currently serving the routes are replaced with the new B787-9 aircraft.
On 25 October 2015 the Dreamliner will be introduced on the airline’s Amsterdam-Abu Dhabi-Bahrain route, which will be followed by the launch of the aircraft on flights between Amsterdam and Cairo on 30 November 2015 and on the Amsterdam-Quito-Guayaquil-Amsterdam service on 02 December 2015.
