Earlier this year, No.1 Traveller opened its first lounge at Edinburgh airport. Its features include the new “Touchdown” service that’s designed to offer rapid access to a desk with internet to those in a hurry, also fully-tended bar, concierge service, and “Drive to Runway”, a chauffeur-driven airport transfers. Starting from July 2015, all Etihad business class passengers and Etihad Guest cardholders can enter the new No.1 Edinburgh lounge for free. Both Etihad and No.1 Traveller are delighted to have partnered up to offer high-quality facilities and best possible experience to their guests.
Starting from 01 December 2015 passengers travelling to New York will be able to enjoy the facilities of Etihad’s new A380, as the airline is to launch the aircraft on its route between Abu Dhabi and JFK.
The new superjumbo will operate one of Etihad’s two daily flights between the cities. Passengers will be able to choose from 417 Economy, 70 Business and nine First Class seats as well as experience travelling in the luxurious on-board apartment, “The Residence”.
Etihad will be adding more flights to one of the strongest routes in its network, increasing the service between Abu Dhabi and Melbourne to double daily. The extra flights will launched on 01 August 2015 and will be serviced by the airline’s B777-300ER providing 280 Economy, 40 Business and 8 First Class seats.
Still subject to regulatory approval, the new codeshare agreement between Etihad and SAS is set to benefit passengers travelling with both airlines.
As part of the new partnership SAS customers will be able to take advantage of a variety of services from Abu Dhabi, including flights to Brussels, Dusseldorf, Frankfurt, Rome, Milan, Zurich, Geneva and London Heathrow.
In return Etihad customers will be able to enjoy an improved selection of services to Northern Europe, as the Etihad’s EY code is placed on selected SAS services from Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm.
As Etihad expands its global network with the newly-launched route to San Francisco, the airline’s frequent flyer programme members can now enjoy earning double Etihad Guest miles on the airline’s selected new routes due to launch in 2014 and 2015.
To qualify for the promotion passengers need to travel on the airline’s new services to San Francisco, Dallas, Kolkata, Madrid, Entebbe, Edinburgh, Hong Kong or Algiers within the first 30 days after the launch of the routes and register for their rewards at least 48 hours before departure.
Etihad Airways passengers can now take advantage of daily flights to Phuket, thanks to the launch of the airline’s new direct service from Abu Dhabi.
The city is the airline’s second Thai destination joining Etihad’s service to Bangkok. The new flights are serviced by A330-200 in a two class configuration offering 240 Economy and 22 Business class seats.
Etihad Airways is to take its passengers’ flying experience to the next level of luxury by introducing a unique flying butler service. The service will be launched on the airline’s inaugural A380 service from Abu Dhabi to London Heathrow and will be available to passengers travelling in Etihad’s three-room cabin called The Residence.
Currently Etihad’s flying butler team consists of 13 hand-picked senior cabin crew members, who have all completed training provided by the head butler of London’s luxurious Savoy hotel.
With the launch of Etihad’s new onboard wi-fi service passengers travelling on the airline’s B777 aircraft can now enjoy using mobile data, making phone calls, sending text messages, emails and more during their flight.
Currently available on the airline’s 24 aircraft at an additional charge starting from only $5, the service is set to be introduced across Etihad’s entire passenger aircraft fleet in the upcoming months.
Etihad Airways is expanding its global network with the launch of new services to Baku, Tbilisi and Dar es Salaam scheduled for winter 2015.
Flights to the capital of Azerbaijan, Baku will be the first to commence with a four-times a week service to become available as of 01 October 2015. This will be followed by the launch a three-times weekly Tbilisi service on 02 October 2015 and the commence of daily flights to Tanzania’s Dar es Salaam on 01 December 2015.
The new flights will be serviced by the airline’s A320 aircraft, providing 120 Economy and 16 Business Class seats.
Guests travelling to Abu Dhabi with Etihad can now extend their premium experience with a visit to the airline’s new Arrivals Lounge at Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Available exclusively to First and Business Class passengers, the new Arrivals Lounge offers guests an opportunity to benefit from using such features as clothes pressing, shower rooms and the airline’s new wet shave service. Etihad’s Arrivals Lounge also offers dining and business facilities, including an international buffet and a Business Centre, providing guests the ultimate welcome to Abu Dhabi.
Etihad has also taken care of passengers’ further travels, offering a Chauffeur Service from Abu Dhabi International Airport to anywhere in the UAE.
