Flybe passengers can now take advantage of services to North America and Canada, thanks to the airline’s new codeshare agreement with Aer Lingus. Effective immediately, the new agreement will allow Flybe customers to use Aer Lingus’ services to Boston, New York, San Francisco, Orlando, Chicago and Toronto available from Dublin. With Flybe flights to the Irish city operating from Exeter, Inverness, Southend and Southampton, the codeshare provides a convenient solution for passengers across the UK.
Flybe’s frequent flyer programme members will soon be able to earn points when travelling with British Airways, Vueling and Iberia, as the airline switches from Rewards4All to Avios as of 27 October 2014.
The new partnership will allow passengers to redeem points on services and goods offered by all four airlines. As for outstanding Rewards4All points, customers will have an opportunity to redeem them within six months starting from 10 October 2014.
Flybe’s partnership with Avios coincides with the launch of the airline’s services from London City Airport and is set to benefit both leisure and business travellers.
As of 15 September 2014, Flybe passengers will be able to benefit from new services to Scandinavia and 15 destinations in Asia, thanks to the airline’s new codeshare agreement with Finnair.
The airlines’ first codeshare services will operate from Flybe’s hub in Manchester, with further plans to expand the codeshare network to include departures from more regional airports including Aberdeen, Belfast City, Edinburgh, Exeter, Glasgow and Inverness.
As part of the codeshare Finnair’s frequent flyer programme members will be able to earn Finnair Plus points when travelling on Flybe flights with the Finnair flight code.
Flybe is to offer passengers more options to travel to Amsterdam as the airline is to introduce two new routes to the Netherlands’ capital departing from Manchester and London City. The flights will be launched at the beginning of the 2014/2015 winter season and will be available all year round.
The Manchester service will be the first to launch, with daily flights to commence on 26 October 2014 in response to the increasing demand on the route. This will be followed by the launch of the London City – Schiphol service on 01 November 2014, which will operate two times a week.
Passengers planning to travel to Scandinavia this winter will be pleased to know that Flybe is to offer two new routes from Birmingham to Hamburg and Oslo starting from 26 October 2014. The new flights will operate daily and will be available until 27 March 2015.
The airline is also making changes to routes from Birmingham to Cologne, Toulouse, Bordeaux, Florence, Oporto and Reykjavik. With these summer services now becoming year-round, Flybe will be able to offer Birmingham passengers 26 routes to choose from for winter 2014/2015.
The launch of new routes and additional frequencies is set to enable the airline to increase the number of customers travelling from Birmingham by 100,000 passengers a year.
