First Hotel Indigo opens in Bangkok

As IHG increases its global property portfolio, guests travelling to Bangkok can now enjoy a stay at the first Hotel Indigo in South East Asia. The new boutique hotel offers guests an opportunity to benefit from such facilities as a cocktail bar, a Thai and Western cuisine restaurant and an open-air infinity swimming pool and deck with views of the city. The new Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road features 192 guestrooms and also offers complimentary wi-fi.

Now enjoy a stay at the new London Staybridge hotel

As Intercontinental Hotels Group launches its second extended stay property in London, guests can now enjoy a stay at the new Staybridge Suites London Vauxhall.
With fully-equipped kitchens, LED TVs, large work areas and free wifi, each of the 93 suites provides a great option for both business and leisure travelers. In addition, guests can also take advantage of a complimentary full breakfast buffet, a social evening reception three days a week and such facilities as a business centre, a gym, a laundry room and access to the hotel’s own 24-hour convenience store.

New Crowne Plaza hotel launched in South London

Intercontinental Hotels Group increases its London property portfolio with the launch of Crowne Plaza London – Battersea. Formerly Hotel Verta, the property is set close to Clapham Junction and the London Heliport.

Crowne Plaza London – Battersea offers guests 78 rooms to choose from as well as an opportunity to take advantage of free wi-fi and such facilities as a terrace bar, a restaurant, 200 sqm of meeting space and a spa and gym.

Tallest Holiday Inn opens in New York

Guests travelling to New York now have an opportunity to stay at the tallest Holiday Inn property in the word as Intercontinental Hotels Group opens Holiday Inn Manhattan-Financial District.

The new 138 metres tall offers guests a selection of 492 guestrooms spread across 50 floors. Guests can also benefit from such facilities as a business centre, a restaurant and a free Wi-Fi service as well as enjoy views over the Hudson River.

Hotel Indigo to launch in Singapore

IHG is to increase its Singapore property portfolio with the launch of Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong scheduled for 2016. Set only a 15-minute drive from Changi airport, the hotel will be the first Hotel Indigo property in Singapore.

Located in the same mixed use development as Holiday Inn Express Singapore Katong, Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong will offer guests a choice of 131 rooms as well as a good range of facilities, including an all-day dining restaurant, a food and beverage outlet, a meeting room, a swimming pool and a fitness centre.

IHG to launch two new hotels in Portugal

Portugal is to become home to two new IHG properties – Intercontinental Lisbon and Crowne Plaza Porto.

Intercontinental Lisbon is the larger of the two hotels and will offer 237 deluxe rooms, 78 executive rooms and 16 suites once open. Guests will also be able to benefit from views over Lisbon and Park Edouardo VII and take advantage of such facilities as a fitness studio, 18 meeting rooms and a restaurant and bar. Currently the Tiara Park Atlantic, the refurbishment of the hotel’s lobby and public areas will be completed in phases.

As for the Crowne Plaza Porto, currently the Park Atlantic Hotel Porto, the property is set to open this autumn. Set 15 minutes from the airport in the business district, the hotel will provide a great base for business travellers offering 161 deluxe rooms, 29 executive rooms and 42 suites as well as 11 meeting rooms and an all-day dining restaurant.

Four new Holiday Inn properties soon to open in UK

ihgIHG to expand its UK Holiday Inn portfolio with four new properties due to open across the UK by early 2015. Two of the new hotels will be located in London and the others will be set in Cardiff and Birmingham. The 95-room Holiday Inn Cardiff – North, Holiday Inn London – West and Holiday Inn London – Heathrow T5 are set open this summer and the 95-room Holiday Inn Birmingham North – Cannock will open in early 2015.

The Cardiff hotel is scheduled to open first, offering such facilities as four meeting rooms, a boardroom, bar, restaurant, swimming pool, spa, sauna and gym. Guests of the Holiday Inn London – West will be able to benefit from a rooftop open air terrace, fitness studio, restaurant and coffee bar, as well as meeting rooms. As for Holiday Inn Birmingham North – Cannock, the hotel will provide meeting and conference facilities and feature a sky bar on the top floor.

Even Hotels property opens in Maryland

Following the recent opening of the first Even Hotels property in Norwalk, Connecticut, IHG has now introduced the brand in Rockville, Maryland with the opening of Even Hotel Rockville.

The new 167-room hotel is the second Even Hotels property to date and offers guests the signature wellness experience providing a range of facilities for exercise, work, rest and more.

IHG to increase Abu Dhabi portfolio

With the new Intercontinental Abu Dhabi — Grand Marina due to open in 2016 and a signed management agreement for Holiday Inn Downtown Abu Dhabi, IHG is increasing its Abu Dhabi property portfolio with two new hotels in the pipeline.

Guests of the new Intercontinental Abu Dhabi — Grand Marina will be able to choose from 184 guestrooms and apartments. The hotel will also feature meeting space, a swimming pool and a spa and will give customers an opportunity to take advantage of several dining options, including a Michelin star signature restaurant with a rooftop bar, a lounge and bar with a terrace and more.

The new 257-key Holiday Inn Downtown Abu Dhabi is due to open later in 2014. Formerly the Sands Hotel, the property is currently undergoing refurbishment and will include such facilities as meeting space, a swimming pool, a fitness centre, a restaurant and a bar.
