From 30 March 2016 Qatar airways will be adding Doha to Birmingham to its current services to London Heathrow, Manchester and Edinburgh. 2016 schedule will be:
Monday, Wednesday Friday and Saturday
Doha to Birmingham at 13:25, and Birmingham to Doha at 9:15
Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday
Doha to Birmingham at 7:30, and Birmingham to Doha at 15:00
This route will be operated by Boeing 787 Dreamliner, that includes two-cabin configurations (Business class and Economy class seats). Business travel passengers can enjoy the fully-flat bed while economy class can also benefit from 10.6 inch wide screens with latest entertainment.
This new route opens opportunities for Birmingham travellers to benefit from seamless onward connections to 152 business and leisure destinations across Qatar Airways’ global network, including Hong Kong, New Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok.
Qatar Airways passengers will soon be able to take advantage of a truly luxurious pre-flight experience and an exceptional range of facilities, as the airline opens its First Class lounge at Hamad International Airport. With the opening previously postponed, the lounge is set to welcome First Class passengers this April.
Starting from 01 June 2015 Qatar Airways passengers will be able to take advantage of an extra daily flight to Singapore, as the airline is to increase the current service to three times daily.
The additional flights will be operated by the airline’s new A350 XWB aircraft, with the existing daily services on the route to be upgraded to the A350 XWB in July and August.
Qatar Airways’ A350 offers passengers 247 Economy and 36 Business class seats. The launch of the aircraft on the route will make Qatar Airways the first airline to provide an A350 service to Singapore and the Asia Pacific.
Good news for Qatar Airways passengers planning to travel to the Mediterranean, as the airline announces it will be increasing capacity on its routes to Rome, Milan, Venice and Madrid.
As part of the changes on 29 March 2015 the airline will be adding the B787 Dreamliner to its current Doha to Rome Fiumicino route as well as introducing an A330 on the route to Milan Malpensa. The A330 will also be launched on the Qatar Airways’ route to Venice on 16 June 2015. In addition, the current 10-times Madrid service will be upgraded to a double daily B777 service starting from 16 July 2015.
Starting from 16 June 2015, Qatar Airways passengers will be introducing a brand new service between Doha and Amsterdam. Flights will operate 4 times a week and will be serviced by the airline’s B787 Dreamliner in a two-class configuration, providing a choice of 232 Economy Class and 22 fully-flat Business Class seats to choose from.
As of February 2015, Qatar Airways will be adding 4 weekly flights to its Doha – Manchester route, making the service available two times a day. All the flights on the increased double-daily service will be operated by the airline’s A330-200 aircraft starting from 16 February 2015.
Qatar Airways is to offer more choice to passengers travelling to Scandinavia, as the airline sets out to increase frequencies to Copenhagen and Stockholm starting from the end of March 2015.
As of 29 March 2015, the airline will be adding 4 A380-operated flights to its Doha – Copenhagen route, increasing the number of weekly flights on the route to 11.
As for the route between Doha and Stockholm, the airline will be increasing the current daily service to 10 times weekly as of 30 March 2015, with the new flights to be serviced by the airline’s A330-200 aircraft.
As Qatar Airways prepares to receive its first A350 in the beginning of 2015, the airline announced that Frankfurt will be the first destination served by the new aircraft. Scheduled to commence in the middle of January, the service will operate between Doha and the German city, offering 247 Economy and 36 Business class seats.
As Qatar Airways announces the launch of a second A380 on its London-Doha route, starting from this December passengers will be able to take advantage of increased capacity on the route as well as convenient connections with the airline’s Australia services.
The airline’s new superjumbo offers 461 Economy, 48 Business and 8 First class seats. The aircraft is a new addition to Qatar’s fleet with the inaugural A380 service scheduled 10 October 2014.
Qatar Airways is expanding its global network with the launch of a new route to Eritrea’s capital city Asmara. The new two-times weekly service is set to commence on 04 December 2014 and will be operated by Airbus A320 aircraft.
Starting from this September Qatar Airways will also be increasing frequencies to several popular Middle East destinations. Passengers can already take advantage of four additional weekly flights to Tehran and two extra weekly frequencies to Islamabad launched earlier this September.
As of 16 September 2014 Qatar Airways will also be increasing the number of flights to Muscat with the launch of four new weekly frequencies scheduled for 16 September 2014. In addition, on 26 October 2014 the number of weekly flights to Dubai International will be increased to 14 daily and 4 daily to Dubai World Central. The airline will also be doubling the number of weekly frequencies to Madinah on the same date.
There is also good news for passengers traveling to Perth, who will be able to choose from 30% more seats as the airline launches a larger Boeing 777-300 aircraft on 01 October 2014.
