New Qantas, BA and Cathay shared lounge in LA

Qantas, British Airways and Cathay Pacific passengers travelling from LAX can now enjoy passing the time before their flight at the airlines’ new Los Angeles Business Lounge. Open to the airlines’ Business and First class passengers and selected frequent flyer programme members the new facility can currently seat 400 people.

Once all phases are completed in 2015, the lounge will be able to accommodate 600 guests. With the opening of the new Qantas First Lounge also scheduled for next year, altogether Qantas, British Airways and Cathay Pacific passengers will be able to enjoy two times more space in comparison to the former LAX facilities.

The current Los Angeles Business Lounge is open to business and first class customers daily between 06:00am – 00:30am. The lounge offers guests the opportunity to benefit from such features as workstations, nine shower suites with amenities by Aurora Spa Retreat and free wi-fi. There are also additional services such as shirt pressing, shoe shining and priority access to showers available to First class customers and platinum Qantas’ Frequent Flyer programme and Oneworld Emerald members.

As for the dining options customers can enjoy a variety of Korean, Mexican, Italian, Chinese and US West Coast street food. A dedicated dining area, as well as a Family Zone and seven additional shower suites will be available to guests once the lounge is fully completed.
